Self-serve and managed
The platform
One record per company. Your acquisition criteria, the evidence behind each answer, and the questions still open.
The docket brings your target list and its research into one workspace. Compare companies against the same questions, inspect the source beneath an answer, and decide where your team needs further evidence. The platform supports that review whether your team runs the work or uses managed delivery.
A register with a record behind every row
The register gives you one record per company, with its stage and scores against the mandate. Open a record to move from the comparison view into the evidence. A company’s place in a ranked list is useful only when your team can understand the answers that put it there.
Bring an existing target list or have Docket build one around your criteria. Triage resolves identity before research is paid for, removes duplicates and wrong-site records, and checks disqualifiers first. That identity work keeps an attractive name from carrying evidence that actually belongs to another business.

Typed answers, quotations, and dates
Scout answers your criteria as typed values from fixed lists. Each accepted finding quotes a retained page verbatim, with source and date information available for review. This keeps a comparable field connected to the language that supports it rather than leaving the team with an unexplained label.
Audit then re-reads the collected material with every fetch tool denied. It settles contradictions, strikes findings that cannot be supported, and leaves unresolved questions open. Removed findings remain in the history. The record distinguishes a supported answer from an unanswered question and from a finding removed during review.

Your mandate defines the scoring
Set questions, accepted answers, and scoring rules around your acquisition criteria. Disqualifiers and preferences do different jobs: one can stop research, while another helps order otherwise relevant companies. A score summarizes those choices; it does not establish valuation or predict investment returns.
As the mandate develops, adjust the criteria and review what further research is needed. New questions are queued across the existing list. The screening criteria guide explains how to write questions that produce usable distinctions without making public information carry more than it can support.

Keep gaps and progress visible
A completed run and a fully answered record are different things. Coverage shows which questions have answers, which remain pending, and where research found no evidence. That distinction helps the team decide whether to commission further work, ask a company directly, or leave a target outside the shortlist.
The run view shows research progress, elapsed time, and cost as work completes. Triage, Scout, and Audit have distinct responsibilities, so your team can follow collection and review separately. For the reasoning behind that separation, read the research agents guide.

Fit the platform to the team
Self-serve or managed
In self-serve, your team manages criteria, runs, and review. Managed delivery adds a dedicated analyst and weekly criteria review while retaining the same inspectable company records. Read-only access through Claude or ChatGPT lets your team consult the docket through those tools. It provides another way to read the research rather than transferring control of the mandate.
Optional outreach
If you want contact alongside research, email, LinkedIn, and phone are optional. The client approves messaging and each target before contact. The platform’s outreach review places the draft alongside the company’s qualification reasons; changed wording requires renewed approval. Existing relationships and exclusion lists remain part of the outreach decision.
- Data boundary
- A separate database for each client docket.
- Data ownership
- The client owns its data; export to CSV or Excel at any time.
- Research standard
- Typed answers, retained supporting quotations, review history, and visible gaps.
- First review
- The first ten targets researched free against your criteria.
Use the demo to inspect how the screens connect, then request a walkthrough around your mandate. The demonstration is illustrative; its records do not represent an actual client engagement. It is one of three separate invented examples on this site: the demo workspace has its own mandate and companies, the example record on the home page is a different invented company, and the sample docket below covers 21 invented HVAC contractors. None shares data with the others. Before importing client information, review trust and data handling.

Sample — fictional companies: 21 invented HVAC contractors on an invented mandate, with scores, quoted evidence, succession signals, open questions and outreach status. Nothing in it is a real business.

Questions about the platform
Send us ten targets. We research them for free.
A target list and your acquisition criteria are enough. You get back company records with scores, the evidence behind every field, and the questions the public record could not answer.
