What this covers

Docket provides acquisition-target research and, optionally, outreach on behalf of client firms. This page describes what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

Client data

Everything collected on a client’s behalf — target records, research output, scoring, outreach history and meeting notes — belongs to that client. Each client’s docket is held in a separate database. We do not pool client research, and we do not resell it.

• Clients can export the whole docket to CSV or Excel at any time, at no cost.
• On termination, the export remains available and the data is deleted on request.
• No client’s acquisition activity is disclosed to anyone outside that engagement.

Research data about companies

Our agents read publicly available material: company websites, public filings and registries, press coverage, business directories, job listings and professional profiles. We retain the pages we read so that every field we report can be traced back to its source. We do not attempt to access anything behind a login, a paywall or a technical restriction on a third party’s behalf.

Business contact information

Where outreach is enabled, we compile business contact details for decision makers at target companies from public sources. This is used only to contact those people about a potential transaction on behalf of the client, and for no other purpose.

• We maintain a permanent opt-out list.
• Anyone who asks not to be contacted is removed everywhere and stays removed.
• Requests to see, correct or delete personal data go to [email protected].
• We comply with applicable electronic communications law, including CAN-SPAM and GDPR where it applies.

Site analytics

This website collects aggregate traffic statistics. It does not use advertising trackers and does not sell visitor data.

Sub-processors

We use third-party infrastructure for hosting, email delivery, and AI model inference. Client material is only shared with a sub-processor where it is necessary to deliver the service, and evidence marked confidential by a client is excluded from external model processing.
